“Then the city wall was broken through, and
the whole army fled at night through the gate between the two walls near the
king’s garden, though the Babylonians were surrounding the city.”

How fickle humans can be. Those who
were meant to protect the people fled! And those who are meant to stand by my
side sometimes fail me. But You never do, Lord. Help me to put my trust in You
alone.
