Micah 7:19 Scripture Meditation by Stephen Taylor

 Micah 7:19

You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.

It has been revealed to me that sometimes when the Bible doesn’t say something, it’s really saying something! Sometimes, it’s saying a lot, and this morning, the Holy Spirit revealed to me one of these times. In the book of 2 Samuel, there is the infamous story of David and Bathsheba. The lust that turned into adultery, the adultery that turned into murder, and after the murder came the conviction and one of the truest acts of repentance I can remember!

As I was reading in 1 Chronicles this morning, guess what part of David’s story doesn’t appear there? Yup, you guessed it – there is no mention of this sin anywhere in 1 Chronicles during the recap of David’s life! I don’t believe this was an accident or a cover up. I believe it was the Lord showing us a picture of our lives hidden with Christ once we repent and turn our lives over to the Lord! He is showing us that no matter how big or bad we think our sin is, He is more than able to forgive and not hold it against us if we repent (wholeheartedly, humbly, and honestly) before Him!

The Lord doesn’t want us to live in the past but to acknowledge it and turn from it to Him! If something in your past keeps getting thrown up in your face or dragging you down, then take a page out of David’s playbook and truly repent and let the Lord write the next chapter of your story!

Philippians 3:13: Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead

I love you all, but trust me, God loves you more!!! God bless and Glory, Honor, and Praise to Papa God, King Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, my Comforter and Counselor!
