Psalm 139:1-5 Scripture Meditation by Stephen Taylor

Psalm 139:1-5

“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise, you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.”

This is so humbling and freeing to me! That the Lord knows everything about me, and yet He still wants me! Every prideful thought, every arrogant word, every word uttered in anger, every lustful and sinful act He has seen, and He has forgiven!!!! All because Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior!

These verses tell me that no matter what I have done or will do, He is with me, He is in me, He is for me, and His love is unchangeable, unbreakable, and unwavering! We aren’t made righteous, holy, or blameless by our acts or deeds but by the act of Jesus Christ’s full surrender on the Cross and the mighty deed of God raising Him from the dead! Now, we can live a life in Him that we don’t deserve – all because He died a death He didn’t deserve!

There was only one thing that could satisfy the world’s sin and bring us back to the Father: the perfect sacrifice, the Lamb of God, the One who did it with love in His heart and our names in His mind, Jesus Christ my King, my Savior, my Friend, my Everything!!! Hallelujah!

John 3:17: For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

God bless! I love you all! Glory, Honor, and Praise now and forever to Papa God, Jesus the Messiah, and the Holy Spirit!
