Hebrews 13 Devotions by Stephen Taylor

Hebrews 13:6

So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

The other night, I was praying and asking God about a few things, and my natural reaction was “What if I fail or what if I lose everything?” So, God started talking to me and dealing with me, and the first thing He said is, “You will always have Me!! No one can take you out of My hand, and no one can separate you from the love of My Son and the salvation He paid for you on that cross!!! Nothing in this world, above it or below it!! You are Mine!!”

And He is saying the same thing to you today!!! Praise God!

And in Mark 8:36, Jesus asks, “What good is it for someone to gain the whole world yet forfeit their soul?” I did the exact opposite. I lost the whole world, but Jesus saved my soul!! A trade I would take any day of the week, and I pray you do too!! This life is fleeting, and things will come and go, but there is something that no one can take away from you, and that is the love of our God and salvation for those of us who make Jesus our Lord and Savior!!!! I can say this with confidence. Can you??

I love you all and God bless!!!! Thank you, Father, and to You be all the glory!!!!

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

We live in a world that is constantly changing, and if you don’t adapt, you get left in the dust. Cars and technology depreciate and are obsolete before we even get them home! A virus pops up and shuts everything down – except the love of Jesus! He isn’t changed by the circumstances we live in. He is still the same one that gave His life for me and you!

He doesn’t change. He is our rock and our salvation, and to me, that is much-needed in these days of uncertainty! Because I know that no matter what, I can call on Him, and He will be there!!!

This world and everything in it will fade one day, but Jesus Christ will NEVER fade!! In a world where there isn’t much we can rely on, we can always rely on Jesus and trust that He will always be there!!!! He loves us more than we could ever comprehend or imagine!!!! He stands at the door knocking. Will you let Him in????!!!

I love you all and God bless!!! Glory to God Almighty!!!!

Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today and forever.

This is one of my favorite verses, and one that the Lord has been laying on my heart since last night. If 2020 taught us anything, it’s that we can expect everything to change in an instant, everything but God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit! No matter how last year went or what this year looks like, Christ is still King. Whether you are on the mountaintop or in the valley, Christ is still King. Whether you acknowledge Him or not, Christ is still King. He still loves you, He still died for you, and He will still redeem and reconcile you to the Father if you choose to accept Him as your Lord and Savior!

In a world where the most stable thing is that everything is unstable, choose the One who never changes, fades, or turns on you! Choose the One who gave Himself so that you might be saved! I have no idea what the future holds, but I do know Who holds the future, and that’s where my peace, hope, security, strength, and contentment come from. The past is gone, the future isn’t here yet, but today, I will trust in the Lord who is always present and holds everything in His mighty hands! Even though I change, Jesus doesn’t, and that, my friends, you can count on!

May this year be filled with a deeper, more intimate, truthful relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

I love you all, God bless, and Glory to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit!
