James 2:15-16 Scripture Meditation by Stephen Taylor

James 2:15-16

Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go In peace, keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?

Last night, I received the news that an old friend of mine had lost his fight against addiction, and it instantly made me sad and mad. I was sad because I felt like he had been reaching out but didn’t know in which direction to reach, and it made me mad that I was too busy to see it at the time!!

I feel like, as a Body of Believers, we are responsible to be there and to help these people find freedom in Christ! I’m not just talking about addicts but about anyone and everyone who is out there suffering from something in silence! As followers of Christ, we know how tough the world can be because we were drowning in it before Jesus saved us! Most of us didn’t have a divine intervention like Paul did. Most of us were shown who Jesus was by the people who love and obey Him, and now it’s our turn to carry that love to the next generation!

I don’t care if you have been a follower of Christ for 20 years or 20 mins, you have something valuable to share with those around you!! I feel like too often we wait till it’s too late to reach out, and if we could focus more on loving and walking with these people, we might not have to walk through so many graveyards!!

I love you all, and so does Jesus!!! I’m here if anyone needs any prayer, encouragement, or just someone to vent on!! You are valuable, and Jesus is waiting with open arms for you!!

God bless, and Glory to God!!!
