Malachi 3:10
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, “says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”
Be encouraged!!!! I know this verse is about tithing, but to me, it also shows the heart of our God so perfectly! He is saying, “Give me what is mine anyway, and if you do, I will bury you in blessings!! You won’t even be able to handle how many good things I have for you if you just trust Me and give me what is mine anyway!!” I love that God doesn’t ask for anything more than what He deserves but wants to give us way more than we deserve! Do you see the contrast there and the heart of our God?!!
He uses such strong action words here. He says “throw open the flood gates” and “pour out so much” because He wants us to know how serious He is about this and how much He wants to bless us if we would just trust Him with what little we have! God is basically saying, “If you don’t believe Me, try Me!!!” He gave His Son for us, the greatest gift ever given, and He doesn’t want to stop there!!
Love God, trust and obey Him, and love one another as Christ loved the Church. I challenge you to do these things and see how much God pours into you!!!
