2 Corinthians 12:10 Scripture Meditation by Stephen Taylor

2 Corinthians 12:10

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Our culture tells us to play to our strengths and to never show weakness. As a man, I should be strong and able to handle everything this world can throw at me, but that’s simply not true unless I have Jesus in my heart. We all have at least one weak spot in our lives, and the enemy knows what it is. He will entice us in these areas, and if we’re not careful, we will fall every time. But to me, that’s the beauty of our weakness, that once we admit we can’t do it on our own, we turn to Christ and He is more than enough to overcome anything this world can throw at us! If I keep telling myself I can handle it, then I walk in ignorance and never allow God to show his strength in my weakness. I walk around prideful and only deceiving myself, and let me tell you, that’s the most vulnerable place to be.

I believe Paul boasted about his weaknesses because he knew that the more he admitted it, the more he would lean into Christ, and that is true strength and power!!! People say, “I don’t know how you did that or how you made it through that.” Well, I do. It’s because you can’t crush Christ, and He lives in me!!! You’re only as weak as your secrets and denials!!! Jesus knew I was weak from the beginning; it just took me a little time to catch up and admit it myself!!! Embrace your weakness because that is where you will experience Christ’s power in your life!!!

Be encouraged and be encouraging!!! I love you all, God bless and glory to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit!!!
