Galatians 6:9 Scripture Meditation by Stephen Taylor

Galatians 6:9

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Persevere; you never know what’s around the corner or just how close to your breakthrough you are. For me, the times I have had to dig in and lean into Christ more have brought about the biggest breakthroughs in my life and the lives of those around me. It’s in these weak or weary moments that I truly surrender and allow God to carry me through.

I think about the look on Moses’ face when God tells him to stretch out his hand, (reference to Christ, by the way) and part the Red Sea. There were a million different ways around the situation, but God didn’t want them going around it; He wanted them to go through it. I imagine the Israelites were tired, scared, anxious, and wished God would just strike the Egyptians down so that they could rest. But God had other ideas. His message was, “Keep going, keep persevering, and your faith and hard work will pay off. It may be tiresome and burdensome, but so many will believe in Me because of this!!!”

Maybe you’re standing at the edge of your Red Sea. It’s big, it’s daunting, it’s scary, but God is saying, “Persevere and trust Me; I got this.” We have no idea who is watching us to see how we will react or what seeds will be planted by our choices. Your perseverance could turn into the deliverance of someone you love!!! You have the choice: you can give up or give it up to God!!!

Be encouraged and be encouraging!!! I love you all, God bless, and Glory to God!!!
