Genesis 5:24 and 6:9 Devotion by Stephen Taylor

Genesis 5:24 and 6:9

Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.

Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.

This morning, I was reading in Genesis, and something stuck out to me that I felt led to share. The Bible says Enoch walked faithfully with God, and then he was no more. Jump down about 15 verses, and it says that Noah walked faithfully with God as well. As I read this, the Holy Spirit brought revelation and insight into this. He showed me that how faithfully we walk with God doesn’t necessarily determine our journey, that just because we walk faithfully with God doesn’t mean the journey will be any easier. See, Enoch and Noah both walked faithfully, but one got to go home early, and the other had to build a boat that would deliver the human race.

I say this to encourage you that no matter what your journey is, if you walk faithfully with God, He will see you through. Some of us get to go home early, and some of us are like Noah building a boat in the desert while the world ridicules and doubts us. But God doesn’t call us to do anything alone. If we walk with Him, He will work through us, on us, and for us!!! I encourage you to walk in the Light as He is in the Light and allow Him to take care of the rest! We are either walking faithfully with Him or away from Him. The choice is ours and is made daily! It’s never too late to start your journey with Him!

Repent, Surrender, and Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior today and begin your walk in Him!

I love you all, God bless, and Glory to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit!
