Isaiah 55 Devotions by Stephen Taylor

Isaiah 55:1-3

“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.”

What He has isn’t for sale, and even if it was, we lack the correct currency to pay for it! Our God has a gift for each one of us; it is the greatest gift ever given, and His name is Jesus Christ. Stop and think about the beautiful, powerful, and wonderful Jesus Christ and all that He is. Now realize it was not your good deeds or your own righteousness that saved you but only His willing sacrifice.

It humbles me that the price set on my head was more than I could ever pay, and yet He paid it with a prayer on His lips and love in His heart. He did not shrink back from death, He did not despise the cross set before Him, He did not waver in His faithfulness, nor does He waver on us! He is the immortal, immovable, and impeccable Risen Savior.

We strive so hard in this life to earn things: money, power, respect, love… and the list goes on and on. But truly, the greatest thing we can achieve or come to be is His, and He says it’s free. There is no money you can give to circumvent the way, there is no power-move you can make to skip ahead in the line, there is nothing you can do to be saved outside of surrendering to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior today. How grateful I am our God made it all-powerful and yet simple enough that a child like me could understand! Praise His name and fall at His feet today!

Acts 4:11,12- Jesus is “’the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’ Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

God bless! I love you all, but His love is the only way to the Father! Glory, honor, and praise now and forever to Papa God, Jesus Christ our King, and the Holy Spirit!

 Isaiah 55:6

Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.

The Lord poured this into me today as I was praying. I could feel His Presence come over me, and for most of the time could only sit quietly while He moved. I can’t explain or describe everything I saw or felt, but what I can tell you is that He is calling His people to repent and start living the way the Bible teaches us. No more choosing what parts of the Bible to believe, no more making excuses for our sins, no more self-serving Christianity. God is looking for His real remnant, and I believe He is going to start separating His people from the world.

We are called to be separate and come out, but somewhere, we have just blended into the world and conformed. I believe He gave me this verse today because a day is coming when He won’t be found and He won’t be near, and that is a very frightening thought. The Bible promises us that if we seek the Lord with our WHOLE heart, then we WILL find Him! I encourage you today, get back to the basics. Get back to just you and Christ and start building that foundation. This message is for young and old alike.

I believe that God is calling for warriors to stand in faith because the attacks are coming. I believe that if we don’t build that faith now, we will fall in the times of testing. This is not a post to bash, discourage, or put any one down, but rather to get you to re-examine your heart through the eyes of God’s Word and let Him guide you to Salvation. I wish you all could feel the sincerity and love with which I am typing these words. He doesn’t want us to be caught off-guard but is warning us now to get ready. God is calling. Will you listen, repent, and respond to His loving mercy?

I encourage you to ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart, and then follow His lead!

I love you all, God bless, and glory to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit!
