Jonah 2:6
I sank down to the very roots of the mountains. I was imprisoned in the earth, whose gates lock shut forever. But you, O LORD my God, snatched me from the jaws of death!
I think I just found the verse to describe my life in addiction before God rescued me. I was trapped, in a cage of my own design without any hope of getting out. I couldn’t escape, and honestly, I didn’t want to. I was buried so deep in it that nothing could save me but God!!! He reached down, down, down into the depths and pulled me out with His powerful, firm, and loving hand. He said, “This one is mine, and his time has come to serve me and to be redeemed!!!”
Thank You, Lord, for Your steadfast love and patience with me! Thank You for taking the needle out of my hand, the demon out of my heart, and the burden off my back!!! King Jesus, I will forever tell of your great love, mercy, and kindness because that is what saved me from the pit of Hell!!! You alone knew the depths of my depravity, yet You still wanted me and You didn’t stop until I was yours!!! Praise the Name of the Lord!!! I thank You, Lord, for opening my eyes and for softening my heart. I say to You, “Send me. Here I am!” Lord, use my story to give You glory and show this land that You’re still the Alpha and Omega!
Father, I ask that everyone who reads this be filled to overflowing with Your love, strength, peace, and forgiveness! I pray that You strengthen us to be Your people, a people that stands on truth and bows only to you!!!
I want to encourage you that if you feel stuck, or like the whole world is crashing down around you, then cry out to Jesus. Right now, cry out and surrender your life to the Risen King and watch Him redeem, restore, and rejuvenate your heart, your mind, your life, and your eternity!!!!
Be humble, Be honest, Be bold, Be found in Christ, and most importantly, be more like Christ each and every day!!!
