Revelation 7:9 Devotion by Stephen Taylor

Revelation 7:9

After this, I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.

Revelation 14:6 - Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal Gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth - - to every nation, tribe, language, and people.

In a world of division, the love of Christ and His Gospel is the one thing that can unite us all! Jesus doesn’t discriminate the way we do or for the reasons we do. It doesn’t matter to Him your color, political view, creed, ethnicity, upbringing, or where you live! What matters to Him is whether you belong to Him or not! But if you belong to Him and love Him, you will obey Him!

A good way to tell who you belong to is to see who you obey and follow! Do you live by faith or by the flesh? If you follow Christ, you will love and live like Him through the power of the Holy Spirit, but if you belong to the world and your flesh, you will act like it! You can’t belong to Him and this world also! The battle lines have been drawn but not where we may think! It’s not me against you but rather light against darkness, righteousness versus unrighteousness, life versus death! We either serve the Savior or Satan. The Word or the world?

The enemy has us so focused on each other that he is moving about freely, bringing death and destruction to those around us. He hides in the shadows pitting this group against that group when all the while he is the one pulling the strings and causing us so much pain and turmoil. Paul says our fight is not against flesh and blood, and he couldn’t be more right. Think about it. We know how to handle flesh and blood. We know very well how to kill that, but we have no clue how to fight spiritual battles on our own!

We must have the Lord Jesus Christ in us, for us, and around us in order for us to overcome the enemy and His schemes! If we could conquer the enemy and save ourselves, then why did Christ come and sacrifice for us all? He did it because we can’t, nor could we ever reconcile ourselves to the Father and save ourselves from our sins! Only the blood of Jesus Christ can set you free and allow you to see your real enemy, the devil, for who he truly is and how he truly works! Trust in Christ today, and I promise you will never be put to shame!

Romans 10:11 - As Scripture says, "Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame."

1 John 3:8 - The one who does what is sinful is of the devil because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.

God bless! I love you all! Glory, Honor, and Praise now and forever to God Almighty, Jesus Christ my King, and the Holy Spirit!
