Daniel 4 Devotions by Stephen Taylor

Daniel 4:1

King Nebuchadnezzar, To the nations and peoples of every language, who live in all the earth: May you prosper greatly!

 and

Daniel 6:25 - Then King Darius wrote to all the nations and peoples of every language in all the earth: “May you prosper greatly!”

Two different kings but the same response to the power of God Almighty! The Holy Spirit showed me and reminded me that most kingdoms back then ran on oppression and slavery of some sort. There was the top tier of people, the haves, and then the have-nots, which is everyone else. The kings would oppress the poor and weak, thus keeping them obedient, loyal subjects. The last thing they would want is for those people to prosper and become self-reliant. Yet we see that they both say, “may you prosper greatly.” Why? I believe it’s because they had a personal encounter with the Lord and His power and had a change of heart!

Experiencing and seeing the Lord save His people in ways that no man could softened and moved their hearts toward Him! They went from wanting to oppress to wanting to bless! That kind of heart-change only happens through our God. I love that their decree isn’t just for their people but for all the earth! They know that they have found something special, and they want the world to know it! Can we say the same?

Christ didn’t set us free to hide in the shadows of shame or guilt but to walk in His light and proclaim His goodness! We might not be able to change the whole world, but we can share His Good News and change someone’s whole world!

Revelation 12:10,11 - Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the Word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”

God bless! I love you all! Glory, Honor, and Praise now and forever to Papa God, Jesus Christ our King, and the Holy Spirit!

Daniel 4:1,2

King Nebuchadnezzar, To the nations and peoples of every language, who live in all the earth: May you prosper greatly! It is my pleasure to tell you about the miraculous signs and wonders that the Most High God has performed for me.

It is both a blessing and our responsibility to use the platforms God has given us to share the good things He has done for us! Nebuchadnezzar’s platform may have been worldwide, and ours may only consist of a few people, but each is important to God! God has given each of us a testimony of how He rescued us and how He has brought us through many different things. Each one of us has walked a path that is different from the rest, and uniquely ours, yet there are truths that must be shared to the glory of God and for the good of His people.

Think about the platforms God has given you to share Him on. There are so many that each of us have, and I think we sometimes overlook or devalue them if they don’t look like the mainstream ones. That swim team your daughter is a part of is also a platform for you to share Christ. The coworkers you eat lunch with is a platform to share Christ. The social media we all spend way too much time on can and should be a platform we share Christ on. Not everyone’s platform will reach the world, but it can reach someone’s world, and by the grace of God, change it forever.

Lord, please help us to see and embrace the platforms you have given us to share You on and fill us with Your Spirit so that we may proclaim You openly, boldly, and correctly each day!

1 Peter 3:15- Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.

God bless! I love you all, but His love is what the world needs more of! Glory, honor, and praise now and forever to Papa God, Jesus Christ our King, and the Holy Spirit!
