Father, I thank You
that call me to live by faith, but You also give me the information to make a
wise decision. Help me to balance the two.

faith so that I can’t be intimidated out of taking hold of Your promises.

Holy Spirit, give me
the faith of Caleb. If You have called me to something, let nothing stand in my
way: not circumstances, not other people, not my doubts.

Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them, ‘If only we had died in Egypt! Or
in this wilderness! Why is the Lord bringing us to this land only to let us
fall by the sword? Our wives and children will be taken as plunder. Wouldn’t it
be better for us to go back to Egypt?’ And they said to each other, ‘We should
choose a leader and go back to Egypt.’” – Numbers 14:2-4
Father, give me the
faith not to doubt You. You have never let me down and I know Your plans are
only good for me.

“Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh,
who were among those who had explored the land, tore their clothes and said to
the entire Israelite assembly, ‘If the Lord is pleased with us, He will lead us

Holy Spirit, guide me
and give me the strength to live a life pleasing to You so that I can enjoy the
blessings You intend for me.

Yes, Jesus, I have

Lord, I repent of any
stubbornness or short-sightedness. Help me to remember everything that You’ve
done for me.

My God, You are both
just and loving. I thank You for forgiving me as Jesus took the punishment for
my sin on the cross.

you asked. Nevertheless, as surely as I live and as surely as the glory of the
Lord fills the whole earth, not one of those who saw My glory and the signs I
performed in Egypt and in the wilderness but who disobeyed Me and tested Me ten
times—not one of them will ever see the land I promised on oath to their
ancestors. No one who has treated Me with contempt will ever see it.” – Numbers
14:20-23
Father, give me a holy
respect for You and an obedient spirit so that I can receive the blessings You
have for me.

spirit and follows Me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went
to, and his descendants will inherit it.” – Numbers 14:24
Jesus, make me like
Caleb. Give me a different spirit than the world and help me to live
wholeheartedly for You.

forty years, suffering for your unfaithfulness, until the last of your bodies

explored the land—you will suffer for your sins and know what it is like to

How terrible it would
be, Father, to have You against me! And let me never fall back into sin so that
my selfish actions will never cause pain to someone else.
