“Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he
saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it
as a burnt offering instead of his son.”
– Genesis 22:13
Gracious God, as I blow the horns and
the trumpets this month of Tishrei, help me to remember this ram who was caught
by its horns. By providing this sacrifice to take the place of Isaac, You were
showing me that You would one day provide Your son as the atoning sacrifice in
my place.
