Jeremiah 24:3 Scripture Meditation by Stephen Taylor

Jeremiah 24:3

Then the LORD asked me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?”

“Figs” I answered. “The good ones are very good, but the bad ones are so bad they cannot be eaten.”

Which kind of fig are you? Jeremiah goes on to explain the two figs and what each will receive. One represents the people who will turn back to God and He will restore, but the other represents the ones who will continue on to destruction. What stuck out to me is that even though the good ones were sent into exile with the bad ones, it says that God’s eyes watched over them for their good! Even though they probably felt alone and isolated, God was right there building them up and preparing them for what was to come! He never left them, and He will never leave you!

In a world that changes daily, I choose to follow the One who has never changed and is always working behind the scenes for my good, Jesus Christ! If I didn’t have the love of Jesus inside me, I would be like the bad figs, cast out and cursed, but because He came and died for my sins, I have hope for the future, and so do you! Sometimes, we have to be exiled before we can find our way home!!

I love you all, God bless you all, and let’s give Glory to God and our Risen King!!
