Deuteronomy 8:19-20
“If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed. Like the nations the LORD destroyed before you, so you will be destroyed for not obeying the LORD your God.”
As I read this, I couldn’t help but think about the state of our country and how far into depravity we have fallen. A nation once built and founded on God and His commands and principles is, for the most part, now a cesspool of greed, sexual immorality, idolatry, and all kinds of evils. It makes me sad to think of this land that the Lord gave us and how we have turned against Him. So many men and woman have given their lives so we could be free, and we turn around and trade that freedom for bondage.
We, as a body of believers, cut ourselves off at the knees in order to make others feel better. We have traded truth for comfort and faith for fear. But it’s not too late! Our God is a merciful and loving Father who continues to pursue us and protect us! He continues to give us chance after chance to truly repent and thus see revival.
See, revival doesn’t happen before repentance. It’s a process, and it has to start with us humbling ourselves and turning back to the Lord. Revive, by definition, means to restore to life or consciousness! So, wake up, Church! Come forth and be the Bride He paid dearly for! We have to crucify that which is destroying us, our own lusts of the flesh, our selfishness, our pride, and all kinds of sins! Crying out from a broken and contrite heart, saying not our will but Yours be done. Save us O LORD. Have mercy on Your children!
God was going to spare Sodom and Gomorrah if only 10 righteous people could be found! What if we are in a similar situation? Will you be one of the 10?
Genesis 18:32 - Then he said, "May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?" He answered, "For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it."
God bless! I love you all! Glory, Honor, and Praise forever to God Almighty, Jesus Christ our King, and the Holy Spirit!
