Ephesians 3:20-21 Devotion by Stephen Taylor

Ephesians 3:20-21

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.

 

This morning in prayer, I kept hearing the word, “more.” Not in the sense of selfishness or “give me more,” but in a way that God is more than enough, more than capable, and WAY more than we could ever imagine, ask for, or deserve! Just when I think I have hit the lowest of my lows or the highest of my highs, He swoops in and gives me more! More grace than can be fathomed. More love than can be measured. More strength than imaginable. More of Him than I deserve!

 

If you are tired of serving the god of less, then come on over and serve the God of “more”! My God doesn’t just give you a little of anything but pours out more and more than you could ever imagine. Whatever your struggle, whatever your sin, whatever your shame, whatever it is holding you down or binding you up, I encourage you to come lay it at the foot of the Cross and experience “more” than you could have ever thought possible, and it all starts with surrender!!!

 

Who would have thought giving it all over to Christ would bring about more fulfillment than anything in this world has to offer? But it’s true! If you want “more,” then give it all to Him! I don’t believe that God created us to just barely survive, but to live a life of abundance in Christ! Jesus’ work on the Cross and in the Tomb opened the prison doors, but it’s our choice whether to step out into freedom and into a life of “more”!

 

May the Name of the Lord be praised first, fast, and forever!!! Thank you, Papa, Lion of Judah, and our Counselor, the Holy Spirit!!!
