Exodus 9:33
Then Moses left Pharaoh and went out of the city. He spread out his hands toward the LORD; the thunder and hail stopped, and the rain no longer poured down on the land.
I love this part of the story of Moses for so many reasons. I love how Moses doesn’t wait for the storm to stop or slow down before he walks out into it. He walks right out of the palace and right into the biggest storm Egypt has ever seen. The winds are whipping, the hail is flying, and the lightning is crashing all around him, and he is just strolling out through the city! I love the confidence and trust he has in the Lord! How he knows that the Lord has him and will be with him regardless of what is going on around him! How I long to be like that! To be able to say that it doesn’t matter what’s crashing down around me because the Lord’s hand is upon me, and He will deliver me!
Another thing I believe is that Moses met the Lord outside of the city each time, and he loved being in the Lord’s Presence so much that it didn’t matter what storm, plague, or angry mob he had to walk through, nothing was going to stop him from meeting with his God! What if we could be that way? What if we said it doesn’t matter what else is going on, I’m gonna walk through this storm because I know that the Lord is waiting on the other side and I just want to be in His Presence!
What if instead of scrolling through Facebook, we scrolled through Scripture? How much more of a fulfilled, peaceful life would we be living? I encourage you today to ignore the storm, walk through it because the Lord is with you, and on the other side of the storm might just be a deeper, more intimate time in His Presence!!!!
Walk boldly, confidently, and purposefully through the storms because He is with you!!!!
I love you all!!!! God bless and Glory, Honor, and Praise to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit!
