Exodus 36 Devotions by Stephen Taylor

Exodus 36:3

They received from Moses all the offerings the Israelites had brought to carry out the work of constructing the sanctuary. And the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning.

What are we bringing to the Lord each morning? The Israelites brought offerings each day; in fact, they brought so many that they had to be restrained and told to stop because they already had enough! Imagine the smile that put on our God’s face! The love, willingness, trust, and faithfulness His people were showing Him during this time. I believe that God looked with favor and pleasure on those gifts of the heart more than the physical aspect of the gifts. God doesn’t need our treasures, but He treasures our hearts!

There may have been a limit to the physical offerings they brought, but there should never be a limit on the spiritual ones we bring. Every day we should bring our will, our hearts, our minds, and our lives to Him and surrender them on the altar of grace! Our King, who purchased the very ones He created with His precious blood, deserves nothing less than all of us. We have to stop riding the fence and start laying it all down at the Cross.

Jesus never stopped bring His offering to His Father, and neither should we. He counted the cost and paid it all, never holding back or straddling the line but was one hundred percent authentic, surrendered, and willing to lay it all down for the glory of God and the salvation of souls!

John 10:17,18- “The Father loves me because I sacrifice my life so I may take it back again. No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again. For this is what my Father has commanded.”

God bless! I love you all, but His love changes everything! Glory, honor, and praise now and forever to Papa God, Jesus Christ our King, and the Holy Spirit!
