Leviticus 26 Devotions by Stephen Taylor

Leviticus 26:12,13

“I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people. I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians; I broke the bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk with heads held high.”

Amen, thank You, Lord! These verses are just part of the promises the Lord has for those who revere and obey Him! Obedience to the Lord is not optional but mandatory, and being the amazing God He is, it’s not just “do this or else,” but He gives us a blessing for doing what we should do anyway! There is freedom found in obedience, but one of the things disobedience brings is fear.

Leviticus 26:36- “As for those of you who are left, I will make their hearts so fearful in the lands of their enemies that the sound of a windblown leaf will put them to flight. They will run as though fleeing from the sword, and they will fall, even though no one is pursuing them.”

That verse is also a promise. It’s a promise for those who are hostile to the Lord, refuse to listen, and disobey. We see that our God has a promise for each of us; freedom or fear, the choice is up to us. Which one do you want to live in today? Freedom or Fear? But we need help. We need the Holy Spirit to teach us the Word and to bring revelation and understanding of it! We need His strength and courage to persevere, and the joy He gives for obeying it, and the conviction He brings from ignoring it or disobeying it! Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you deeper each day and to help you live a life of worship to our God! Try praying these verses today!

Psalm 119:33-35- Teach me, LORD, the way of your decrees, that I may follow it to the end. Give me understanding so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart. Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.

Psalm 119:38- Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear you.

God bless! I love you all, but His love brings freedom! Glory, honor, and praise now and forever to Papa God, Jesus Christ our King, and the Holy Spirit!
