Revelation 19 Devotions by Stephen Taylor

Revelation 19:11-14

I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice, He judges and wages war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written on Him that no one knows but He Himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following Him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.

What a powerful and beautiful picture of the triumphant King of Glory! We are either in the army behind Him or we are in the army standing against Him. The enemy likes to try to convince us that there is a gray area that we can live in, when in reality, you're either in Christ or against Him.

This gray area may have many different looks or theories, but the root issue is that it’s from the enemy and not from God. This gray area can tell us that if we’re good enough, we can go to Heaven or that we can live like the world but go to church on Sunday, and we are fine. This gray area is multifaceted because there are plenty of lies but only one Truth!

I love how this verse is a futuristic event, yet the verbs in it are present tense. That tells me that our God reigns even now, and this picture of the triumphant King is something that we can live in now. What I mean by that is that Jesus’ hands aren’t tied until this day, but He is our triumphant warrior King just as much today as He will be that day! Will we follow Him into battle today and forevermore? We can count on His victory because He is Faithful and True, and He promised us the victory in Him!

John 16:33- “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

John 8:36- “So, if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

John 15:4- “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.”

Revelation 19:8- “Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.” (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.)

God bless! I love you all, but His love brought our victory! Glory, honor, and praise now and forever to Papa God, Jesus Christ, our triumphant King, and the Holy Spirit!
