Job 39 Devotions by Stephen Taylor

Job 39:27-30

“Does the eagle soar at your command and build its nest on high? It dwells on a cliff and stays there at night; a rocky crag is its stronghold. From there, it looks for food; its eyes detect it from afar. Its young ones feast on blood, and where the slain are, there it is."

Who decided where the eagle was to live? God! Who taught the eagle how to live there? God! Who equips the eagle to live there? God! It's all Him! And just how He placed the eagle right where He wanted Him, so has He done that with us. We have all been chosen or appointed to live in this time right now. Each one of us hand created by God for such a time as this. He has called us to be the light in the darkness in these days; are we shining for His glory or ours?

Just as He equipped the eagle, so has He equipped us. He gave the eagle the sight needed to see what matters most, good. The same can be said about us; He has given us the sight needed to see what matters most, Christ! God did not place the eagle in a position where it could not live, and the same can be said about us. Yes, bad things happen, and yes, people die, but God has not given us an unattainable goal or called us to a fight we can't win. He has called us, anointed us, and prepared us for His glory. He has given us everything needed to live a Godly life in Him through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the power of His Holy Spirit!

Do you know what else the Lord does for the eagle? He provides the eagle with the ability to provide for its young, and He does the same for us. Not just physically but, more importantly, spiritually. So, what are we feeding our kids today? The love of Jesus and the eternal truth of God’s Word or empty promises from the faulty flesh? If God equips the birds to survive, provide, and even thrive, then how much more will He do that for those He gave His Son for? Thank You, Papa God, for being the best Father ever!

Matthew 6:25-27- "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you, by worrying, add a single hour to your life?”

God bless! I love you all, but His love provides in every area and in all situations! Glory, honor, and praise now and forever to Papa God, Jesus Christ our King, and the Holy Spirit!
