Psalm 145 Devotions by Stephen Taylor

Psalm 145:11-13

They tell of the glory of your Kingdom and speak of your might, so that all people may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your Kingdom. Your Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is trustworthy in all He promises and faithful in all He does.

Who do we need to share this truth with today? Our God is mighty and glorious in all His splendor. His Kingdom far outweighs and will out-reign all the kingdoms of this earth and the evils that fill it. In a day and age when not many can be trusted, our God is still trustworthy in all He does! He is faithful beyond our understanding, and even when we fall, He is still faithful to forgive those who turn and repent.

It’s encouraging to me that our God did not become these things, but He is these things. These characteristics and attributes are not up for discussion, nor were they attained through some action or experience. Our God IS all of this because that’s who He is! It’s not predicated or determined by some outside force but simply and profoundly who He is.

This is great news, my friend, news that this dying world needs to hear desperately. Will we be the ones to tell them? We must tell them not only with our mouths but also with our actions. Let our actions speak loudly, and our words confirm what they say.

People are desperate to find the key to eternal life and staying young, whether it be the best new diet, some special cream for our faces, medicine that prolongs the inevitable, or some other fad that is yet to be discovered and then pushed on us. All these things will leave us empty and in the same condition we were found in, but not Christ. He not only promises us eternal life but died to bring it to us. He paid the ultimate price that we may be set free and reconciled to the Father. He is not some hip fad or a constantly moving target; He is the immortal and immovable Rock of our salvation. Will we share His hope and His truth with those around us today?

Psalm 145:17,18- The LORD is righteous in all His ways and faithful in all He does. The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.

1 Corinthians 10:3,4- They all ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual Rock that accompanied them, and that Rock was Christ.

God bless! I love you all, but His love flows like a river from the Rock! Glory, honor, and praise now and forever to Papa God, Jesus Christ our King, and the Holy Spirit!
