Psalm 94 Devotions by Stephen Taylor

Psalm 94:17-19

Unless the LORD had given me help, I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death. When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your unfailing love, LORD, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.

I am a living example of these verses. My life was ebbing away. Each day, I moved further from Christ and closer to the grave. I was lost with any knowledge or understanding of true freedom. I could not grasp the truth because I was buried in the lies until His unfailing love grabbed my heart and set me free! It was, it is, and it will always be Him and not I that set my feet upon the solid rock and gave me a new name. A name the world doesn’t recognize but that my God acknowledges. My name belongs to Him now. He has written it in His book with great delight.

He longed for me, and He pursued me, and He found me when I was at my worst. He is my joy, my hope, my peace, my strength, my defense, my everything, and He wants to be yours too! Take heart if you feel lonely and lost. Don’t stop in the desert when our God has called you to the Promised Land. Cry out to Him today, for He hears and will save. Nothing in, on, or around this world can compare to Him. He is above it because He created it and then died to set it free. What other God gives His life for His people? What other God have you heard of would willingly lay down His life to save the very things that caused Him to go down that path? There is no God but our God, and His heart is beyond beautiful and beyond comprehension. He is our Helper, our Defender, our Deliverer, and He is alive today!

Is your foot slipping? If so, cry out to our God and be ready for Him to move. He is willing to rescue, but are we willing to ask?

Isaiah 43:11-15- “I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no Savior. I have revealed and saved and proclaimed— I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD, “that I am God. Yes, and from ancient days I am he. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?” This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “For your sake I will send to Babylon and bring down as fugitives all the Babylonians, in the ships in which they took pride. I am the LORD, your Holy One, Israel’s Creator, your King.”

God bless! I love you all, but His love saves! Glory, honor, and praise now and forever to Papa God, Jesus Christ our King, and the Holy Spirit!
