Isaiah 30 Devotions by Stephen Taylor

Isaiah 30:21

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

This is the Holy Spirit, whose voice is strong yet gentle, calling to us each day! How grateful and thankful I am for Him! He speaks even when I don’t want to listen. His voice pursues me in His love, and it leads me in His way one step at a time.

This world and the god of it relentlessly attack our focus, trying to distract us from the truth and our God. But we must fight against it by listening to the voice of truth, the Holy Spirit, who is speaking to us daily. He is saying, “this way, not that way, reject that but receive this, humble yourself and hear My voice!”

His patient pursuit of us is amazing and nothing short of a miracle. Imagine having every answer to someone’s problems and chasing them their entire life, yet continually being ignored by them. This is what I did to my God for so many years, rushing headlong into sin and away from the Savior. Yet He still came after me and came calling my name! Praise the Lord! He is worthy of all I can give and all that I am! For all that I am is only because of all that He gave!

If you are struggling to hear His voice today, I will encourage you to get alone with Him. Shut the door, turn off the TV and phone, open the Bible, and read His words to you. I don’t think the problem lies with our God’s voice but rather with our hearts and our ears. He continues to speak, but are we willing to listen? He is telling us today, “This is the way; walk in it.” He is the way; will we walk in Him today?

Psalm 25:8- Good and upright is the LORD; therefore He instructs sinners in His ways.

God bless! I love you all, but His love is calling to you today! Praise, glory, and honor both now and forever more to Papa God, Jesus Christ our King, and the Holy Spirit!
