Psalm 18 Devotions by Stephen Taylor

Psalm 18:16

He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters.

Today, I am thankful and grateful for the Heavenly hands of our God that reach down and pull us close to Him! He is amazing, He is awesome, He is worthy of all praise! I look around at the world and even some of the people closest to me, and I see so much sadness, hurt, pain, sin, and loneliness; truly the list could go on and on. Yet we serve a God who desires to reach down into our mess and pull us out to be His.

Who am I, O’LORD, that You would rescue me? Who am I, O’LORD, that You would pay so dearly for me? Who am I, O’ LORD, that You would give me a new name and a seat at Your table?

The truth is I am no one, but He is everything. The LORD did not save me because I deserved it, nor could I have earned it, but He paid for it and then gave it freely to me.

If you’re like me, I want to encourage you this morning. We have people in our lives whom we desire to see saved, to be set free from sin, death, shame, and guilt. Know that our God wants the same thing and wants it even more than we do. For He wanted it so badly that He paid for it with His blood. God is still reaching down from Heaven and plucking people out of the fire and the raging sea. He is still on High moving as only He can and doing what only He can, saving our souls! Don’t lose heart, and don’t give up; instead, ask for His Heavenly hands to reach down once more for the ones you love. Thank You, LORD, for Your strong and mighty hands that saved and are shaping a wretch like me!

2 Corinthians 5:17- Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

God bless! I love you all, but His love literally changes everything! Glory, honor, and praise now and forever to Papa God, Jesus Christ our King, and the Holy Spirit!
