“They fled toward the Arabah, but the
Babylonian army pursued the king and overtook him in the plains of Jericho. All
his soldiers were separated from him and scattered, and he was captured.”
– 2 Kings 25:5-6
Though I might try to run from Your discipline,
You will always catch me, just as Your punishment caught up to the wicked king.
Give me a heart of bravery that will accept Your punishments and learn from
them rather than fleeing from them and refusing to acknowledge You.
