Daniel 3:25
He said, “ Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the Gods.”
I love this story for many different reasons, but this verse stuck out to me this morning. There were probably 100 different ways God could have chosen to save Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fire, but He chose to send His Son to save them!! (Sound familiar?!!)
I think it’s so important to understand that Jesus will meet us right in the middle of the flames and teach us how to walk with Him in it, on it, and through it!! He doesn’t necessarily stop the flames and fire, but He does stop the power it has over us!!
I also like how they were content hanging out in the fire, because Jesus was with them!! They weren’t in a hurry to get out of their mess because they knew they were with the one who was greater than their problem!!! And I should be the same way; instead of looking for a way out, I should be looking for a way to get closer to my Savior!!
I also love this because not only does God save them, but He uses it as a testimony to those who saw it to show He is a God who can save!!! So, it not only changed the lives of those in the fire but everyone around them as well!!
Let’s remember we serve a God who loves us and will meet us right where we are, and share that with someone today!!!!
