Revelation 21 Devotions by Stephen Taylor

Revelation 21:4

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.

This is the guarantee we have if we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior! This is what He purchased with His precious blood that day on the cross!! We can’t buy it, we can’t earn it, and we certainly don’t deserve it, but Jesus wanted us to be with Him forever, so He paid for it!!

I have earned eternal separation from God, but because of Jesus, I have eternal relationship with God!! thank You, Jesus!!

If that was the only thing He did for us, that would be more than enough to deserve our praise and honor, but He didn’t stop there!! Not only did he pay the price I never could, but He gave us His Spirit so we never had to be alone!! Ever since I gave my life to Him, He has been with me and walked by my side and carried me when I couldn’t walk myself!!

If you choose Jesus, you will never be alone again!!!

I love you all and God bless!!!!

Revelation 21:5

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

I’m so grateful and thankful that our God is in the business of making everything new. That He doesn’t just put a fresh coat of paint on us but rather changes us completely from the inside out. It would be much easier and quicker to just wipe us off the map and start fresh, but instead, He wiped away our sins through the blood of His Son! How undeserving I am of such a sacrifice, how unworthy I am to receive what Christ paid so dearly for.

But isn’t that one of the most beautiful and profound truths of it? That, yes, we are unworthy and undeserving, yet He desires to give us this new life anyway. Not because of us but because of who He is. The heart of our God truly amazes me, the willingness and want to save sinners like me. He owed me nothing yet gave me everything, and all He desires in return is my heart set apart to Him.

His love and sacrifice are higher than the heavens and go deeper than the seas. His love extends to all generations, and His power can’t be denied. His ways are higher than ours, and His motives are always pure, just, and holy. He is God Almighty, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of the living and not the dead. This God that our minds can’t rationalize and our words fail to glorify stepped down out of Heaven to save you and me. So today, let us keep these truths in our hearts and minds as we worship Him. He is worthy, and He is making all things new. Have you been made new in Him today?

Psalm 139:7-10- Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.

God bless! I love you all, but His love can reach us wherever we are at! Praise, glory, and honor to Papa God, Jesus Christ our King, and the Holy Spirit!

Revelation 21:8

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.

A couple weeks ago, I was reading this list of people who aren’t going to get into Heaven, and worse than that, are going to go to Hell. The very first kind of person it lists is the cowardly, then the unbelieving! I couldn’t believe it was in that order, and then after Randy Warner’s sermon yesterday, it started to click! It took guts for Randy to get up there and admit he struggles with pride, but in sharing, he not only gave God glory but showed each one of us that even someone who has been walking with the Lord that long can still struggle! It spoke volumes to me!

It takes guts to love someone who will never love you back, it takes guts to forgive someone who will probably turn around and sin against you again, it takes guts to admit when you are wrong and ask for forgiveness, it takes guts to ask God to reveal your sin to you and help you fix it! It takes guts to swim against the current when everything around you is telling you you’re wrong!

I want to have so much courage, boldness, and love that when my feet hit the ground in the morning, the devil says, “Run, he is awake!” But that kind of courage doesn’t come from within. It comes from above! Let’s get closer to Jesus today and let Him strengthen our backbones!!!

I love you all! God bless! Let’s give our Mighty God all the glory!!

Revelation 21:27

Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

I was looking at my business card yesterday (yes, I’m official now – LOL!) and I was thinking about all the places my name has been written. Some good, some bad, some by choice, and some by choices I have made. Depending on who wrote it and for what reason invokes different emotions in me. A birthday card from my mother makes me feel happy and loved. A warrant for my arrest makes me feel worried, ashamed, and defeated.

I never realized the power in where my name was written until Jesus wrote my name in His book! Now my name appears in many places but none as important as the Lamb’s Book of Life!! Because it is written in Heaven, it doesn’t matter where it appears on Earth!! Heaven trumps Earth every time!!!

Brothers and sisters we may have the same name, but we are new creations in Christ!!! There are no titles, bank accounts, deeds, or accomplishments mentioned in this book. Just your name, and it’s either there or it isn’t. I encourage you today: if your name is not in that book, hit your knees and ask Jesus to write it down!! If it is already there, then let’s act like it!!!

Be encouraged and be encouraging!!! I love you all, God bless, and glory to God!!!!
