Children’s Sermon on Revelation 2 – Letter to Thyatira – Gift of the Morning Star

Use this children’s sermon on Jesus giving us the morning star to show kids the best gift of all.

Scripture: Revelation 2:28

Needed: a picture of space with stars (included)

Children’s Sermon: Ask children, What is the best gift someone has ever given to you?

What is the most awesome gift you could imagine receiving?

Did you know Jesus says He wants to give you a star? (Show picture of space.) 

Do you see one you might like to have?

Jesus says in Revelation 2:28 that if we’re faithful to Him, He will give us the morning star. And here’s the best part: the morning star is Jesus! In Revelation 22:16, Jesus says, “I am the Morning Star.” So, if we’re faithful to Jesus, He’s going to give us Himself, and receiving Jesus is even better than receiving a regular star because Jesus is the one who made the stars! Jesus says He will give us Himself, and we will live forever with Him – if we are faithful to Him until the end.

Closing Prayer: Jesus, we thank You for promising to give us Yourself and let us live forever with You. Help us to be faithful to You our whole lives, no matter what happens. Amen.
