Ezekiel 12 Devotions by Stephen Taylor

Ezekiel 12:26,27

The word of the LORD came to me: “Son of man, the Israelites are saying, ‘The vision he sees is for many years from now, and he prophesies about the distant future.’

The LORD had been warning them for years about the coming judgement and exile they were going to face. But instead of repenting they grew complacent and decided that this judgement was still a far ways off. So they paid no attention and made no real changes in their lives. Then suddenly, the LORD’s righteous judgment was upon them and they were led out to captivity and exile. This is so like us though, isn’t it? To hear the word of God and yet put what it says on the back burner. We think we have all the time in the world to get right with the LORD or to develop a prayer life, that we have tomorrow to start reading our Bibles and turn from our sins, but the truth is none of us knows if we will even take another breath, let alone have a tomorrow.

Sadly, many well-intentioned people have gone down to the depths of Hell because they thought they could come to Christ tomorrow. But why wait when the Healer and Redeemer wants you today? Why put the most important decision on the back burner when you could literally step from death to life today? In our human weakness, we think the end will never come, but in all reality, it will come for each one that walks the earth. The question isn’t will it come but will we come to the foot of the cross today and into His Presence for all time? The way has been made and the price has been paid; will we receive what He fought and bled to give us? One day, it will be too late, but if you’re reading this, then there is still time! He loves you and He wants you!

Ezekiel 12:28- “Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign LORD.’”

John 1:12,13- Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

God bless! I love you all, but His love is greater than all! Glory, honor, and praise now and forever to Papa God, Jesus Christ our King, and the Holy Spirit!
