Jeremiah 43 Devotions by Stephen Taylor

Jeremiah 43:12

He will set fire to the temples of the gods of Egypt; He will burn their temples and take their gods captive. As a shepherd picks his garment clean of lice, so He will pick Egypt clean and depart.

A prayer around Jeremiah 43:12:

Lord Jesus, please don’t leave me as You found me. Please don’t let me continue in my sin, but come and pick my life clean as a shepherd picks his garment clean of lice. I ask You, Lord, to search me carefully and thoroughly, removing anything that doesn’t align completely with Your Word. Lord, the lice in my life are small and shifty, easily missed by the human eye, but nothing escapes Your gaze, so please O’Lord, pick my heart, mind, and life clean as only You can!

I pray that any temples of idols that have been erected in my heart would topple at Your great name. That the desires and delights of my heart would match Yours completely. Only You can change a heart, my God; only You can make one come to life. You are the bridge, the door, the only way from death to life, and You welcome us freely.

I am so unworthy of You, my King; Your majesty, glory, and power are unmatched. None can stand against You! Just as Your majesty, power, and glory abound; so does Your love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness! When man has power, they use it to oppress and destroy, but You, my God, have used Your power to save, redeem, and restore.

I praise You, my God; You are my Rock and my Fortress, my hiding place. There is safety and provision in the shadow of Your wings, and I pray that I may dwell in it all the days of my life. Help me to finish my race to the glory of God and in such a way that I may hear these words one day: “Well done good and faithful servant; enter into your Master’s rest. You may have started our dead, but you finished alive!”

Thank You, Jesus, for You truly are more than I could ever ask or imagine and infinitely more than I deserve. Amen!

Colossians 4:2- Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Psalm 5:3- In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.

God bless! I love you all, but His love is everything. Glory, honor, and praise now and forever to Papa God, Jesus Christ our King, and the Holy Spirit!
