Who Should We Help? Children’s Sermon on the Parable of the Good Samaritan

Who Should We Help? Children’s Sermon on the Parable of the Good Samaritan

Needed: Nothing

Scripture: Luke 10:30-37

Children’s Sermon: Read Luke 10:30-37, asking the following questions as you read.

Why do you think the priest didn’t stop to help the man?

Why do you think the Levite (Temple assistant) didn’t stop to help the man?

Jewish people and Samaritans didn’t like each other, but the Samaritan did stop to help the Jewish man. Why do you think the Samaritan helped him?

What do you think is the point of the story?

Who does Jesus want us to help?

Closing Prayer: Jesus, help us to want to help anyone we see who needs help. Help us want to help them, even if they're someone we don't like.
