Children's Sermons on Prayer

God is Waiting for Us to Talk to Him! 

Call children up for the lesson, then silently walk around in front of them, or pace around the room until one of them asks what you're doing.

Then say, I was here. I was just waiting for one of you to talk to me. 

Did you know it's the same way with our Heavenly Father and Jesus and the Holy Spirit? They're always right there close to you. And sometimes They'll talk to you in your heart. But sometimes, They're waiting for you to talk to Them.

How can we talk to God? We can pray!

Let's do that now. (Say a prayer thanking the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for always being by us and being ready to hear us whenever we want to talk to Them.)
