Last time, we read
about how King Saul wanted to kill David because Saul was jealous of David’s
popularity. Saul’s son, Jonathan, was David’s best friend and helped him escape
from Saul.

Is David telling the
priest the truth? (No.)

Is David telling the
priest the truth? (No.)

What can we learn

God does not lie, but
He sometimes allows others to use deception if they have a good reason for it.
God cares about why we’re lying, not simply whether we’re lying.
