Isaiah 26 Devotions by Stephen Taylor

Isaiah 26:12

LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.

Proper perspective is important! It can be easy for us to get caught up in “all that we have done.” But as I look at my life, I see that everything that is good and worth having is from the Lord, not from myself. I brought in the sin, sadness, shame, and guilt, but He brought in freedom, hope, joy, love, forgiveness, mercy, and grace. His gifts are beautiful and lavish, His character and faithfulness unchanging. He loves me so perfectly, and yet I’m nowhere near perfect. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End; He is the Holy One of God, righteous and just is He. Every breath I have is a gift from Him; every beat in my chest is only there because He has placed it there, and my life had no value until He came and set me free. I have accomplished nothing worthwhile outside of Him, and He gives so freely it’s astounding.

We as people would keep track or keep score, but our God opens up the floodgates freely. He makes His rain fall on the righteous and unrighteous alike. He is merciful to us before we ever mention His name. Christ established our peace with God that day on the Cross; He bought what we couldn’t afford and then gave it freely to the poor, the oppressed, and the lost people like us! It amazes me the generosity of our God. Though we owe Him everything, He is the One who gives to us! He is above us and before us, yet He made Himself available to all of us. He is the greatest gift ever given; He is Jesus Christ, the roaring Lion and the humble Lamb!

Thank You, King Jesus!

Romans 4:25-5:2- He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.

God bless! I love you all, but His love will change your life! Praise, glory, and honor to Papa God, Jesus Christ our King, and the Holy Spirit!
