Luke 21 Devotions by Stephen Taylor

Luke 21:33

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

This is how powerfully eternal our God's words are! Jesus basically says that everything you can physically see will at one time end, but His words will reign forever! That though the world may be crumbling around you, His word will still hold true!

What a beautiful reminder for those of us following Christ in this tumultuous time; with all kinds of evils and sins abounding, we can still hold fast to the truth of God's Word. In fact, we must hold tightly to it if we want to stand before Him unashamed one day.

For His Word is powerful, and in it lies our hope, joy, and salvation found in Jesus Christ!

The Word of God points us to Christ, fills us with His Holy Spirit, and equips us for the good works He has called us to.

The Word of God continues to edify even the most seasoned believer and, at the same time, offers hope and a promise to the new one.

His Word is alive and active, moving, discerning, revealing, and equipping.

Do we read the Word of God, the Bible, daily? Are we leaving this powerful weapon out of our arsenal? Have we allowed ourselves to get complacent in our walk with Jesus and given our time to things that take from our life and do not add to it? Of course, we are all guilty of this in one way or another. but let today be the first day of a new journey. A journey with Him through His Scriptures that will never fade away! One of the most beautiful things about His Word is that the promises found in it are eternal and perfect, just like Him!

Psalm 119:11,12- I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Praise be to you, LORD; teach me your decrees.

Psalm 119:96,97- To all perfection, I see a limit, but your commands are boundless. Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long.

God bless! I love you all, but His love is fully displayed on the pages of His Word! Glory, honor, and praise now and forever to Papa God, Jesus Christ our King, and the Holy Spirit!
